Sustainability & Ethics

We believe clothing should be made with intention, from the way it’s designed to the way it’s produced. We are committed to full transparency about our entire supply chain, so you can trust the story behind every piece.
Sustainability
Deadstock Design
To us, sustainability is part of how we design beauty with care. Before we produce anything, we test our designs using deadstock fabrics to reduce waste. In the future, we plan to offer select styles in limited deadstock fabric runs as part of our commitment to sustainability.
Sourcing
We carefully source our materials from reputable, trusted suppliers, selecting quality fabrics that feel good to wear and are made to last. Every detail matters, so we also thoughtfully vet components like adjusters, elastics, and sewn labels to ensure they meet our standards.
Packaging
We package every order with care and without excess. Each garment is wrapped in a recycled glassine or compostable bag, then placed inside a compostable bamboo mailer for safe delivery. We also skip plastic extras: our hang tags are attached with natural cotton string, no plastic T-fastener, no sharp pin. Just thoughtful design from start to finish.
Ethics
Manufacturing
All Her in Blue pieces are currently made in Los Angeles through our small-batch production partner. This approach allows us to avoid overproduction, reduce waste, and thoughtfully manage inventory without excess.
Our manufacturing partner shares our values: they prioritize eco-conscious practices, minimize fabric waste, lower carbon impact, and ensure fair wages and ethical working conditions at every stage.
