Our First Photoshoot

Launching Her in Blue has been a dream come true, and one of the most exciting milestones was our very first brand photoshoot, bringing to life the essence of Her in Blue: periwinkle colors, effortless elegance, and celebrating natural beauty. I needed somewhere that reminded me what beauty looks like when it’s not overproduced or overly polished. Paradise felt honest. Oahu was the perfect backdrop to breathe brand rooted in softness, glow, and quiet beauty.

On the day of the photoshoot, time flew, and everything went wrong. Both models were so small my first samples of Her Dress nearly looked like an apron, and the clips I brought weren't strong enough to hold the fabric in place. Photo bombers kept wandering into the background, and the tide chased us up the sand every few minutes. There was only one privacy tent. I could not pay enough attention to each model when I had to be photographer, videographer, and art director. And sand got everywhere. We adjusted, we laughed, and we pulled it off, together.
